Teleappending & Data:
Our Approach to Telepending

We use the most comprehensive and up to date source of telephone number information within the marketplace. The database is updated with up to 60,000 changes, deletions or additions per day making it the most current source of phone numbers available.

The database contains approximately 27 million residential and business names, addresses, and telephone numbers supplied to us by over 65 UK Communications Providers.

The Service

Our service (which we manage through 2 different experienced outsource providers) enables the addition of telephone numbers as well as the verification and correction of existing client telephone numbers. This ensures the most up to date telephone number information is available, ultimately maximising contact rates by telephone.

There are two levels of service:

  • The first is standard matching where only standard telephone number listings are returned
  • The second more advanced search is the DQR & ex-directory search.

DQR numbers were released to the telephone number appending marketplace during 2002; there are currently approximately 800,000 of these numbers. These numbers are slightly different to standard numbers; they are available through voice directory enquiry services and telephone appending services, however they cannot be published in paper telephone directories or displayed on Internet sites.

This second level of search also has the added advantage that a flag can be matched to a record stating that the number is ex-directory.
